SOCIO operates on a passwordless authentication system, eliminating the need for traditional password resets. To regain access, request a new magic link from the sign-in page using your registered college email. Delivery typically occurs within a minute; if it is not visible, please review your spam or junk folder.

How to register for events

Complete guide to event registration and payment

Select an event from the Discover page and click Register to begin the registration process. Complete any organiser-defined fields and finalise payment for paid events through the integrated checkout. Upon confirmation, your unique QR ticket is generated and made available under Registered Events in your Profile.

Managing your event registrations

View, modify, or cancel your event bookings

Your Profile page provides a consolidated view of all event registrations, including current status and QR codes for entry. Cancellations are permitted up to 24 hours prior to the event start time and can be initiated using the cancel action adjacent to each registration entry.

How the QR attendance tracking works

Each event registration generates a unique QR code that serves as your digital pass for venue entry. Authorised volunteers scan this code at check-in, recording attendance in real time and reflecting it instantly within your Profile, thereby eliminating manual sign-in procedures.

For most loading issues, begin by performing a hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) and verifying network stability. Clearing your browser cache or updating to the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Safari resolves the majority of cases. Enable browser notifications from your Profile to receive timely updates on event reminders, schedule modifications, and official announcements. Granular controls are available within the same panel, allowing you to manage or disable non-essential notifications as required.

Authorised organisers can draft an event from the Manage tab by providing the title, date, venue, and category, after which it is submitted to the relevant HOD and Dean for approval. Once approved and published, the dashboard offers comprehensive tools for tracking registrations, recording attendance, and exporting participant data.
